BALTIMORE--

Expect mostly cloudy skies and more humidity overnight with lows in the upper 60s to near 70. A few scattered showers will move in by morning across the region with any heavy rain staying in western Maryland overnight. Plan on wet roadways for your morning commute and off and on through the day. 

Another round of showers & storms are possible during evening hours. Some of these storms could contain heavy downpours and gusty winds. The best chances for storms will be in Western Maryland where more sunshine will occur. Highs Thursday reach the lower 80s. 

Friday will be very muggy and also turn hotter. Highs reach the lower 90s with tropical levels of humidity. A few strong to severe storms are possible during  the afternoon and evening hours. The state of Maryland has been placed under a level 1 out of 5 risk for severe storms. The storms will deliver isolated pockets of damaging winds, hail, and heavy downpours.

Weekend weather will be touch and go with the chance of a few showers & storms, especially during the afternoon and evening Saturday. A few more showers are possible Sunday. Temperatures will cool into the upper 70s & lower 80s.
