Poll shows commanding GOP lead for Trump

Just days away from the first Republican primary date and former President Trump's likely surrender in Atlanta following his fourth indictment, a new CBS News poll finds he still holds a commanding lead over his 2024 GOP rivals. The poll shows 62% of likely GOP voters supporting Trump, with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis at a distant second with 16 percent, and other Republican candidates polling in the single digits. CBS News Director of Elections and Surveys Anthony Salvanto has more on the new poll numbers.

Tim Scott's campaign is burning through cash

Few 2024 GOP presidential hopefuls are bringing in the kind of cash that Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina is, but no other candidate is spending it as quickly as he is either. According to the latest Federal Election Commission filings, Scott's campaign is the only one spending money faster than it is coming in. Former Republican Sen. Cory Gardner, currently the co-chair of a super PAC supporting Scott's bid, joined "America Decides" to discuss the campaign.
